- Poetry Out Loud – This is a national program that inspires high school students to study and perform great poetry. This year’s theme celebrates America250, honoring the 250th signing of the Declaration of Independence. State winners receive cash prizes and a trip to the national finals, where $50,000 in awards and school stipends are up for grabs, with the state finals taking place March 8, 2026, at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque.
- Folk Arts Apprenticeship Program – This program helps sustain New Mexico’s traditional arts by connecting master artists with apprentices for hands-on, one-on-one learning over several months to a year. Past apprenticeships have included everything from instrument restoration and saddle making to storytelling, weaving, and traditional music and dance. Applications are due by Friday, January 16, 2026, at 5 pm MT.
- Vilcek Foundation Grants – The foundation is continuing its annual open call for grants in 2026 and will award a total of $200,000 to mission-aligned nonprofits across the United States. Applications are due April 30, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET.
- Mural of Possibilities Grant – Offering $750 to private property and business owners to commission new murals that celebrate local art, history and culture. This program is helping beautify neighborhoods and gives recipients full creative control to hire an artist and manage the project. Awardees must maintain the mural for 3 years, with designs approved by the MRA.
- The Adolf and Esther Gottlieb Emergency Grant (International) – Provides one-time financial assistance to qualified painters, printmakers and sculptors whose needs resulted from an unforeseen catastrophic incident and lack the resources to meet that situation. Awardees typically receive $5,000-$15,000. Deadline: Rolling
- Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (International) – The foundation welcomes applications from painters, sculptors, and artists working on paper, including printmakers. Grants are intended for one year and range up to $50,000. The artist’s circumstances determine the size of the grant, and professional exhibition history will be considered. Deadline: Rolling
- HerRise Micro-Grant – Financial assistance for women of color who are often unable to secure funding for small businesses and creating innovative solutions that impact their community. Applications are accepted monthly and are due at the end of each month
- Small Business Grants – A catalog of grants available for small businesses from across federal government agencies.
- LiftFund – Assists small businesses with restricted capital access by offering microloans and technical support.
- Small Business Grants for Women – Monthly grants of $10,000 are available for New Mexico-based businesswomen.
- Sky’s the Limit Small Business Grants – Monthly small business and startup grants of up to $2,500.
- FREED Fellowship Grant – Monthly $500 grants to business owners to invest in their existing businesses.
- Grants For Creators – A monthly newsletter curating grants and funding opportunities for creators, founders and small business owners.

- New Mexico State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) Grant – A reimbursement grant that helps companies gain or grow international sales.
- Route 66 Centennial Project Submissions – For potential endorsement by the NM Route 66 Centennial Coordination Group. If the project/activity is selected it will be submitted to the U.S. Route 66 Centennial Commission as an official Route 66 project.
