Wish Local is an e-commerce initiative that connects retail stores with the Wish shopping app.
The Wish Local Empowerment Program is a $2 million fund that offers financial support to approximately 4,000 Black-owned small businesses across the United States to help promote equity and diversity in entrepreneurship.
Grants range from $500 to $2,000 and may be used for general business expenses, including:
- workforce retention;
- rent and operational costs;
- inventory purchases;
- customer outreach; and,
- community engagement activities.
Eligible applicants must operate a Black-owned, brick-and-mortar retail business in the United States with 20 or fewer employees and average annual revenue under $1 million.
