Alternatives to Violence, Inc. is a nonprofit agency, dedicated to the prevention, intervention, and treatment of all forms of violence. We are accepting resumes for a full-time Executive Director located in Raton, NM. The Executive Director will oversee daily operations, including staff hiring, training, and supervision, procurement of funds including grant writing, management of budgets, grant resources, and internal systems. This role also includes working closely with the Board of Directors, cultivating relationships with our community partners, overseeing marketing and fundraising initiatives, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and grant contracts, and ensuring the provision of services and community education.
Qualifications
Leadership, staff supervision, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
- Willingness to travel to all agency offices, meetings and conferences.
- Ability to work with people of various ethnic, racial and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- An understanding of the issues of family violence and sexual assault.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Preference of experience in a domestic violence or sexual assault program.
