This fall, we continue to offer our free online sessions of both Tier 1 and Tier 2 Food Safety Training. These free classes fill up fast, so we encourage you to register for any of the sessions soon.
- September: Tier 1 on Sept. 23; Tier 2 on Sept. 30 2 (9 AM to 12:30 PM) – Register on Eventbrite
- October: Tier 1 on Oct. 21; Tier 2 on Oct. 28 (9 AM to 12:30 PM) – Register on Eventbrite
- August: Tier 1 on Nov. 18; Tier 2 on Nov. 25 (9 AM to 12:30 PM) – Register on Eventbrite
What you will learn:
- Tier 1 Workshops: Farmers will leave this training with a basic understanding of what food safety Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) look like on a farm, and prepare to develop a Farm Risk Assessment or Food Safety Plan, if desired.
- Tier 2 Workshops: This workshop walks farmers through completing a Farm Risk Assessment and Food Safety Plan. The plan will be customized to each farmer and their unique farm; it will act as each farm’s operations manual to ensure continuous improvement and implementation of food safety practices.
