The Ratonian is an E-Newspaper that provides local news and information, keeping you informed about what’s happening in your community. It also allows readers to provide feedback and share news articles. This makes it more like a family newspaper. Beginning this month, The Ratonian is switching from surveys to a monthly contest for those who contribute articles to The Ratonian.
To promote greater community involvement, we will offer a monthly prize to those who contributed articles that month. To post an article, you can go to the Submit a News Article page. If you have already been contributing to TheRatonian and have an account, you can log in. If you don’t have an account, select the Registration page link to create one. Once registered, you can create as many articles as you have information for. We are looking for Contributors who can be our eyes and ears in the community to let us know what is happening and what needs are present.
The Senior Editor will review each article submitted to ensure appropriateness (we are looking for positive content) and to edit the format for publication. Each submission that is published will qualify as an entry in the monthly drawing. We will post the winners on TheRatonian and in the newsletter.
The prize for January will be a $35 gift certificate donated by K-Bob’s of Raton.
