Raton MainStreet Board is in need of your help with Prepping the La Mesa Airfield for the Rally. We have 15 Pilots with their Awesome Balloons coming!! We need to set the parking (we will have the poles) as many of You are aware setting the Poles for parking works the best but we need help pounding in the poles. 🙂 We need help with clean up of the field and Hangar, which also calls for pulling cactus etc., We have set June 29th to do this, meet at La Mesa Airfield at 8:00am, bring your gloves, rakes, hoes, shovels. Please be sure to wear close toed shoes as we walk the field pulling cactus. We also kill Ant Piles (No one wants red ants crawling up their legs during the rally 🙁
I will have Trash Bags, and Water If you can help on this day Please do for sure!! As they say many hands make for lighter & faster work.
2nd on the Itinerary:
We will return to the field on July 3rd at 10:00am to decorate the Hangar, hang Banners, (if You have tall Ladders bring them), I have one I will take, but two to three are best. On this day we will also put up the rope for parking and number Pilot spaces.
