WARNING: New SNAP Benefits May Not be Paid Beginning November 1st

If the government shutdown continues beyond October 27th, states are being told to pause issuing SNAP (i.e., food stamps) benefits effective November 1st due to insufficient funding. Any money currently on an EBT card will carry over, but no new funds will be added to the card. Food banks are already preparing for the expected increase in families and individuals needing assistance. Please contact Daniel Griego, President of the Raton Hunger Pantry, at (505) 652-6769 if you can donate to help less fortunate Ratonians during this time of crisis!
