Cultural Demonstrations of Traditional Arts and Crafts

Happy Native American Heritage Month!
Join us as we share Native American cultural history, perspectives, and knowledge at Capulin Volcano National Monument. Traditional arts and crafts remain an on-going cultural tradition for tribal nations, and native artists carry on the traditional crafts of their ancestors.
To celebrate traditional Native arts of crafts of our tribal partners, please join us in welcoming native artists Tessa Doyebi-Robledo (Comanche Nation/Kiowa Tribes) and Dina Velarde (Jicarilla Apache), who will be doing cultural demonstrations of their traditional arts and crafts Saturday, November 9th in the Visitor Center from 9 am to 2 pm.
