WHAT: A big blast of ARCTIC AIR looks possible soon! (Wind chills potentially well below zero!)
WHEN: January 18–23 (next weekend into the week following)
WHERE: From the Rockies to the Central Plains
Right now, nearly every piece of mid-to-long range weather data is firing off warning bells for a strong pulse of ARCTIC AIR sliding south out of Canada next Saturday.
These outbreaks can be tricky, though—especially along the I-25 corridor… cold air can sometimes stalls over the eastern plains and struggles to push up against the mountains.
I’m keeping a close eye on this, as wind chills could plunge WELL below zero. Make sure to have the heavy coats ready, and be prepared for potentially hazardous conditions.
Stay tuned! I’ll likely be doing livestream updates throughout the week. Let’s get the word out—share this post with your friends and family to keep them in the loop!
