Pete Vigil was a true Raton Ambassador. He would meet and greet visitors to Raton who had stepped off Amtrak as their destination, or simply to get some fresh air or enjoy a cigarette. He often would help them with their luggage, or provide information about Raton. He will be missed by friends, family, and anyone who came into contact with him.
There will be a ceremony to honor Pete on First Street where he spent so much of his time. October 14, 2023, at 5:00 PM.
