Free Medical Transportation for Veterans

The Highly Rural Transportation Program offers medical transportation for veterans that reside in 15 highly rural counties in NM.

The program provides free round-trip service for veterans to and from their VA or VA-eligible medical appointments.

Counties of coverage: Catron, Cibola, Colfax, De Baca, Guadalupe, Harding, Hidalgo, Lincoln, Mora, Quay, San Miguel, Sierra, Socorro, Torrence, Union

The program now serves veterans living in Acoma, Laguna, and Zuni pueblos-all three of which have parts or are entirely located in Cibola County. Service is also now available for the Cibola county town of Ramah, and Alamo in Socorro County.

All rides must be reserved at least 3 business days in advance.
