The Raton HS Cross Country Girls had a great day last week at the 2nd Annual Barbara Martinez Memorial Cross Country meet, hosted by Cimarron HS. The Girls finished in first place. Sophomore Kalyn Salazar took top honors for the lady Tigers finishing in first place. McKenzie Flanagin, came in 3rd place, followed by Juliani Plazola, 7th place, Aurora Holling, 14th, Aubry Valdez 17th, and Kory Ann Gomez finishing up the team scoring with a 24th place finish.
The Tiger Boys had a good day as well. Sophomore Lorenzo Anaya finished 19th with a finishing time of 19:18.20., Sophomore Johnny Redlick and. freshman Karson Burk both PR for the second week in a row. Overall, the boys finished in 7th place.
The Tiger XC team will be off this week and will travel to Albuquerque next week to compete in the Albuquerque Academy Extravaganza, the pre state meet for all xc teams.
