Saturday, June 1, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Raton Visitor Center, 100 Clayton Road.

Good afternoon to the businesses and members of our community!

We need your help!  We are looking for volunteers on Saturday, June 1st to help with Talkin’ Trash – Raton’s Spring Clean-up.  The Business Task Force Committee has been working with the City of Raton to get this clean-up project planned.  We will be meeting at the Welcome Center on the corner of S. 2nd St. and Tiger Dr. on Saturday, June 1st.  We would like to get as much of the clean-up done as possible, but our main focus if going to be from the Welcome Center up the Clayton Highway to the city limits which is just past Plum St..

I have attached a copy of a flyer to help get the word out.  We are reaching out to businesses, church groups, organizations, athletes, and members of the community to help with this project.   If you would like to volunteer, please call Kathleen Hanson at (575) 445-7170 or Alisha Grubelnik at  (575) 445-3613.

If you cannot help that day, then take some time to walk around your neighborhood, or business to pick up trash. Anything helps and it takes the entire community to keep Raton clean.  If you have a neighbor that cannot take out their trash or cut their weeds, help them out.  They can also call Terri Headley at (575) 643-5000 and she will get some information from them to get them on a list.

We have a lot of things going on in Raton this summer, and we also have lots of travelers in town, we all need come together and show them how beautiful Raton really is!

Volunteers will receive a free Talkin’ Trash t-shirt thanks to sponsors Raton Rotary, Ramel Family Farms, Raton Adventure Centre and RPM.
